Brainwashing....is it a trend?

So I don't think I'm old at all, and I can also get caught up in using lingo that is popular right now....but what for? We sit around and wonder why this generation has such an entitlement mentality, I know I do too at times, but recognize it people!! Why do we think the government should just hand out freebies all the time, or that Jobs should be easy, or that we need to constantly entertain ourselves so we don't experience boredom, You don't deserve anything.....Our Grandparents would look at a song like The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars, and Call us Idiots. I think we would look at them and say they just don't understand, but is that really it? Maybe they understood much more about what really matters in life, and what it means to learn to work and provide for your families and we are the ones who are WAY off!

Please read the lyrics! They are TRULY ridiculous! Don't get me wrong the song is catchy and I LOVE the tune..but isn't that how Satan disguises himself? By making things appear harmless, funny even. It is Brainwashing at its CORE.

Did you read the part about stick my hands in my pants??? that is SICK on so many levels that we even have that line in a song. We don't even care that our 11 year olds are singing this song? I have not heard a song in long time that promotes LAzyness as bad as this one....
I would like to know your opinions on this song, have you ever even heard it?
Do you think it is harmless? if so let's catch back up in a few years and see what kind of child you have raised...we do not realize how much their atmosphere and kids their age will influence them. That is such a tough age, and ALL you care about is whether or not people like you(I remember). Looking back now I wish I had stood for what I believed much more and let myself be okay with being different. All the kids out there right now are screaming that they are different, but if they are all doing that and acting the way they are, WHO is being different? NOBODY!
Being Different means not going the same way as the crowd, especially if it looks "spiritual and Godly"....you need to seriously ask yourselves before you get caught up in a "movement"

I have to go back to Matthew 7:13
""Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it."
This verse makes me believe that Jesus won't become popular...He will become more and more hated. The people will start chasing after a movement and few within will actually grasp the Gospel and Jesus.
You need to know how you stand before God, not a crowd of friends.

In verse 14, it goes on to say, "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
how small? that is scary stuff.....Don't follow the crowd they might not lead you in the right direction.

In proverbs 3:5-6 it also tells us that we can't even trust our own judgment, In this world there is a FOG.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths

Anyway That is just something I'm pondering, Do i get caught up in it too?? ABSOLUTELY:)

but I'm trying not to, and I hope you will too.
